From Austin
Take US 290 west through Dripping Springs.
Option 1 – (Paved all the way), Turn left on FM 165, continue approx 10 miles until Middle Creek Road/CR 410). Turn right on Middle Creek Road/CR 410 and drive 5.0 miles (at 3.0 miles you will see an entrance with the FFR logo – keep going past this entrance 2.0 more miles). The entrance to the ranch will be on your left – a stone entrance with the Franklin Family Ranch sign. Proceed through the gate and turn right. Follow the road down the hill to the main lodge.
Option 2 – (For the more adventurous), Stay on US 290 through Henly, cross over Yeager Creek and Middle Creek. Just before CR 410 there will be a small green sign on the right side of US 290 marking CR 410 and a cell phone tower on the left. Turn left onto CR 410 – a bumpy dirt road; drive approximately 3.5 miles (you will cross a rock bottom creek). The entrance to the ranch will be on your right – a stone entrance with the Franklin Family Ranch sign. Proceed through the gate and turn right. Follow the road down the hill to the main lodge.
From San Antonio
Take US 281 North to Johnson City. From the Loop 1604 & 281 interchange in North San Antonio proceed approximately 32 miles north on US 281. After the Hwy 32 turnoff, you will see the 163/165 exit. Turn right onto Loop 163. Drive 1.1 miles to the 165 Junction. Turn right on 165 and drive 5.5 miles to Middle Creek Road/CR 410. Turn left onto Middle Creek Road/CR 410 and drive 5.0 miles (at 3.0 miles you will see an entrance with the FFR logo – keep going past this entrance 2.0 more miles). The entrance to the ranch will be on your left – a stone entrance with the Franklin Family Ranch sign. Proceed through the gate and turn right. Follow the road down the hill to the main lodge.
